An author's portrait, only yours
Personal fine art isn't about documenting how you look on an ordinary Tuesday — it's about creating an image, a considered piece with atmosphere, something you could hang on a wall. Here light, composition and silence matter as much as you do.
Barcelona offers textures few cities can match: the centuries-old stone of the Gòtic, the organic curves of Gaudí's modernism, the sea mist at dawn. Those real materials become the canvas on which we build something more artistic than a standard portrait.
We work slowly, with intent. It isn't about filling a gallery with photos but about achieving a few images that truly count, with the force of a painting and the truth of a photograph.
The process and where we create it
Before I pick up the camera we talk about the idea: what you want to convey, which references move you, what palette and what mood. From that comes a small concept that guides everything — wardrobe, gesture, light and place.
Locations are chosen for their atmospheric power. The most hidden alleys of the Gòtic, empty at dawn, give chiaroscuro and mystery. Park Güell outside peak hours offers organic forms and colour. La Barceloneta wrapped in sea mist gives a milky, painterly light. Parc de la Ciutadella adds dense greenery and water for something more romantic.
During the session I don't look for a quick smile but for states: a distant gaze, a contained gesture, stillness. I direct you calmly and let each frame breathe. Few images, deeply worked — that's the idea.
Light, pace, what's included and delivery
Light is everything in fine art. Dawn is the star moment: empty streets, sea mist and a soft light that looks painted. The golden hour at sunset gives warmth and long shadows. Overcast days offer an even, melancholic tone, perfect for a more intimate register. Spring and autumn give the most interesting weather and skies.
The session is unhurried: an hour and a half to two hours to build a few deeply considered images. It includes the prior concept conversation, the artistic direction, and a selection with an author's edit and a painterly finish, delivered in high resolution and designed also for large-format printing.
The price is from €150, varying with the scope of the concept, the number of final images and whether you want printed or framed copies. We define it together at booking. Delivery lands in five to ten days.
