A studio is the right answer when the picture has to be repeatable. Headshots for a team that must match, a newborn kept warm and calm, a product or lookbook where the background cannot compete with the subject, a portrait where you want the light shaped rather than found. Indoors nothing depends on cloud cover, wind or the hour, so the frame you agreed on beforehand is the frame you get.

We arrange the space and the lighting for your session — you bring the looks. Before the shoot we agree the format, how long we need and roughly how many frames you want finished, so nothing is decided under time pressure on the day. During the session the photographer directs: posing, hands, chin, where to look. Afterwards the selected frames are retouched by hand, one by one, and the gallery arrives within days in high resolution, ready to print or post.

A studio gives you consistency; the street, the coast and the old town give you atmosphere — we shoot both, and it is worth saying which you want before you book. Do I need to rent the studio myself?
No. We arrange the space and the lighting for your session — you just turn up with your looks. If you would rather use a particular space, tell us when you book and we will work with that.
Studio or on location — which should I choose?
A studio gives control and repeatable results: matching headshots, newborns, product, lookbook. On location gives atmosphere and a sense of place. Describe the result you want and we will tell you honestly which one fits.
What should I bring to the session?
The outfits you want to use — plain colours if you are after a timeless look — plus any props that matter to you. We agree in advance how many changes the format covers, so it is not decided under time pressure on the day.
