What's the difference between lifestyle and a regular family session?

A family session mixes spontaneous moments with a few more posed portraits looking at the camera. Lifestyle is pure reportage: I don't ask you to pose or look at the lens, only to live your day while I document it. If what you want is total naturalness and a story of a moment in your life, lifestyle is for you; if you also want classic portraits, we combine the two.

Can part of the session be done in our flat or accommodation?

Yes, and it's often the loveliest part. Breakfast in pyjamas, the children playing on the sofa, getting ready to go out — those at-home moments are the soul of lifestyle. Then we head out to a neighbourhood or the Retiro for the outdoor part. I only need some natural light through the windows; I frame around it mentally and the home doesn't need to look like a magazine.

We worry the photographer's presence will show — how do you avoid that?

The first ten minutes always show a little; that's normal. So I start with something that keeps you busy — a game, a snack, a walk — so the focus is on you, not me. I work at some distance with lenses that let me stay back, and I talk little. As soon as the children get absorbed in their thing, the camera disappears and everything turns real.

Do you edit the photos or deliver them as-is?

Every photo you receive is edited, with a natural, bright finish that respects real tones — no heavy filters or plastic skin. I select the best, adjust light and colour and give you a coherent gallery ready to print and share. What a lifestyle day in Madrid looks like

We start where the family feels most at home. If you like lively neighbourhoods, Malasaña and Chueca offer colourful streets, terraces and market corners for a morning of strolling, breakfast and play. If you prefer green and open air, the Retiro gives meadows, the lake and the Palacio de Cristal for an afternoon of picnic and running about.

I don't interrupt you with instructions. I ask you to do what you always do — make a coffee, chase the children, read a story on a bench — and I capture the small gestures: a hand brushing back hair, a shared laugh, the looks between you.

Now and then I suggest something very light so the light cooperates, but you set the thread. The result is an honest reportage, no posturing, that years from now will give you back exactly who you were at this stage.

When, how long and what you receive

Spring and autumn give the best weather for spending time outside with children. In summer we go first thing in the morning, when the city is cool and the neighbourhoods still quiet; winter offers that clean Madrid light and heated terraces. The morning usually suits the little ones' mood best, though the golden afternoon is lovely too.

A lifestyle session lasts between one hour and ninety minutes — just enough for the family to relax, forget the camera and let the authentic come out. There's no rush and no rigid script: we follow your rhythm.
