Maternity photoshoot — Madrid

The ideal is between weeks 28 and 34. In that range the bump already looks round and beautiful, but you still move easily and don't tire as much. For a multiple pregnancy we usually bring it forward a little, as the belly grows sooner. It's best to book in advance, and if you're unsure about your dates, we adjust together based on how you feel.

It's the most normal thing in the world and that's exactly my job. I guide you the whole time, with simple, gentle cues, choosing angles and light that flatter the pregnant silhouette. We work slowly, I show you a photo along the way so you see how well it's coming out and relax. Within ten minutes you forget the camera; almost every mother ends up surprised at how beautiful she looks.

Yes, and it looks lovely. The maternity session is a family moment: your partner's hands over the bump, the older siblings listening or kissing the belly. We first take some portraits of you alone and then bring in the family. With children we go at their pace, with games and pauses, so the group photos come out natural and no one tires.

What suits the pregnant silhouette best are fitted dresses that show the curve or flowing fabrics that move in the wind — beautiful at sunset by Debod.
