A conceptual shoot isn't after pretty pictures alone: it's after an image with a script, an atmosphere, a character inside it. Madrid is a capital of scenes — the arcades of Plaza Mayor, the art-deco façades of Gran Vía, the night neon of Callao, the rooftop of the Círculo de Bellas Artes with the city at your feet — and each tells a different story.
Contrast works in our favour here: the museum-grade classicism of the boulevards against the raw energy of Malasaña, its murals and neighbourhood air. That mix lets us build anything from an elegant noir portrait to an urban scene with a vanishing trail of lights.
We work by concept, not by backdrop: first the idea — the tone, the colour, the emotion — and then we choose which Madrid tells it best.
From idea to frame
We start with a conversation and a moodboard: film references, colour palette, wardrobe and the emotion you want to convey. From that comes a shoot plan — locations, light timing, props and, if the concept calls for it, hair and make-up or a small lighting crew.
The shoot is directed like a scene. I guide you through pose, gaze and gesture so the body tells the story; we use the hard Madrid midday light when we want sharp shadows, or wait for the neon of Gran Vía and Callao as night falls for that cinematic, city-awake feel.
The edit is part of the concept, not an afterthought. Colour, contrast and texture are worked so the series carries one coherent look, like frames from the same film.
Duration, delivery and budget
A conceptual shoot usually runs two to four hours, depending on the number of looks and locations. If the concept involves several changes, a lighting crew or styling support, we plan it in blocks so the day flows without rushing.
You receive a digital gallery with an edited selection in high resolution, carrying the colour grade that defines the series; the key images are worked in detail. Delivery is five to ten days.
Because it's bespoke work, the budget is per project: it depends on scope — hours, locations, crew and post-production. Tell me the idea and I'll send a fixed proposal before booking, with no surprises.
