Madrid is a city made for falling in love on foot: wide boulevards, terraces, green parks and a golden sunset that stains the stone. It's romantic without being saccharine, with the pulse of a great capital behind.
You don't need to be photogenic or to know how to pose. You just need to be at ease with each other; the rest — the light, the place, the moment — is on me.
The route of a couple's afternoon
We start in Parque del Retiro, by the pond and the Crystal Palace: we rent a rowing boat or wander among the trees, and the ease arrives on its own. It's the perfect warm-up, green and calm, where you forget the camera.
Then we drop into the living centre: Plaza Mayor with its arcades, the lanes towards Sol, a terrace for a shared coffee. The city's bustle wraps around you and gives the photos energy without stealing your spotlight.
We save the end for Templo de Debod, Madrid's finest sunset: the sun sinks behind the Egyptian stones mirrored in the water and everything turns golden. That's when the backlit embraces that close the story happen.
When, how long and what you receive
The golden hour before sunset is the magic window for a love story: warm light flatters and Debod turns to gold. Spring and autumn are the ideal seasons for temperature and clear skies; in summer we head out at sunrise or very late in the day.
The session runs an hour and a half to two hours, just right for two or three settings on foot and a couple of changes of pace without rushing. We walk, we chat, and we let the afternoon flow.
