A fine-art portrait, not just another photo
A personal fine-art session isn't about documenting, it's about creating an image you could hang on a wall twenty years from now without it dating. It's a portrait conceived as a work: careful light, clean composition, a contained emotion.
Madrid, a city of museums, offers the ideal context for this language. Its monumental scale, noble stone and high, clear light allow a sober, almost painterly portrait, where you are the centre and the city merely breathes behind.
We won't chase trends or filters. We'll seek the timeless: your gaze, your gesture, your silence, treated with the calm of a classical portrait and the sensibility of fine-art photography.
Where the image is born
The Retiro's Crystal Palace is one of my favourite fine-art locations: light filters through iron and glass and bathes the subject in an almost painterly atmosphere. The park's tree-lined walks, with their colonnades and statues, give noble, serene backdrops.
The Prado axis and the museum-quarter exteriors bring stone, symmetry and solemnity. For something more intimate and characterful, Plaza Mayor's arcades or a tucked-away central courtyard offer soft light and old geometry.
I almost always shoot in natural light, seeking chiaroscuro: a window, a shadow, a beam crossing the space. We work slowly, few frames but considered, letting each composition mature as an individual piece.
Time, light and the final piece
Fine-art asks for calm, so spring and autumn, with their soft, clean light, are ideal. Madrid's winter brings a cool, elegant clarity; in summer we go out early to avoid the vertical sun. The Crystal Palace and window-lit interiors work all year.
A session runs an hour and a half to two hours. It's not about quantity: we work slowly, talking, until the true gesture appears. Few images, but each one holds.
You receive a gallery edited with a careful, timeless finish in high resolution, delivered in five to ten days, with a selection meant to print and frame. From €150; fine-art prints on quality paper, an album or extra time are prepared to your measure at booking.
