Ibiza after sunset

Ibiza is famous for its nights, and it shows on camera. When the sun goes, the island changes skin: the cobbled Dalt Vila lanes fill with warm lanterns, the marina lights up with reflections on the water, and the west-coast bars give that last orange glow that lasts only a few minutes. It's the perfect stage for a night portrait with real atmosphere.

A night portrait isn't a daytime photo with less light: it's another thing entirely. We play with city lights, neon, lanterns and the blue hour to create an image with depth and colour, where you stand out against a living backdrop. The result carries the air of nocturnal Ibiza without falling into the tourist postcard.

How we work the night light

We start in the blue hour, that short stretch right after sunset when the sky still holds a deep blue and the city lights already glow. That balance between sky and street lamps is pure gold for a portrait: the background doesn't go black and your face gets a natural warm tone. That's why we plan the session to the minute.

Locations set the character. The Dalt Vila lanes give intimacy and lantern light; the Ibiza marina offers reflections, masts and neon on the water; and a west-coast sunset bar brings that end-of-day glow with silhouettes. We combine several moods so the series has rhythm.

I bring portable lighting — a small head with diffusion, sometimes with a touch of colour — to separate you from the background without killing the atmosphere. The idea isn't to light you like a studio, but to add just enough so the ambient light keeps telling the story of the night.

Duration, delivery and price

The session runs an hour and a half to two hours, starting before sunset to use the blue hour and moving into full dark. In that time we cover one or two nearby locations — for example Dalt Vila and the marina — for a variety of moods without rushing.

You receive a high-resolution digital gallery with a careful night edit: balanced colour, clean highlights and controlled grain so the nocturnal mood looks natural and not noisy. Delivery is in five to ten days, ready to share or print.

The price is from €150, and includes the session and the edited gallery. If you want to add an extra location, an additional look or a more elaborate touch of coloured light, we quote it to measure at booking.
