It's rare for grandparents, children and grandchildren to be in the same place at the same time. When it happens —and often it happens on a trip— it's worth freezing that moment, because it's exactly the kind of photo most looked at and most treasured over the years.
Ibiza offers the ideal frame for such a gathering: beautiful locations without long walks, shade and benches nearby for the elders, and a backdrop —golden walls or turquoise water— that makes the family photo look not like a studio shot, but like a special day together.
My job is to arrange the group calmly and with good humour, so the session is pleasant for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest.
Comfortable locations and how it unfolds
With several generations I prioritise comfort without giving up beauty. Las Salinas is perfect: parking nearby, flat sand, calm water and pine shade to rest between shots. If you prefer stone and character, the viewpoints and squares of Dalt Vila offer spectacular views with gentle access and places to sit.
I start with the full-group photos, while everyone is fresh and together. Then I combine: grandparents with grandchildren, each family unit on its own, the kids playing, a shot of the elders alone. That way no one tires and we get all the important combinations.
I keep the mood relaxed and brisk. The best group photos aren't the 'everyone hold still' ones, but the ones right after, when someone cracks a joke and everyone genuinely laughs.
Season, duration and delivery
The season runs from May to October. For a multi-generation gathering I recommend early morning or late afternoon: the light is soft, the heat more bearable for grandparents and little ones, and the locations quieter. September, the velvet summer, is one of the most pleasant months.
A generations session lasts around an hour —enough for all the combinations without tiring anyone— in a spacious, accessible location. You receive a digital gallery of edited high-resolution photos, ready to share or print, delivered within five to ten days.
The price is from 180€. If the group is very large or you'd like to add a second location or a printed album, we adjust it at booking.
