The best family photos aren't everyone staring at the camera with a forced smile. They're the in-between ones: the child laughing because you tickled them, the hand reaching for another hand, the loving chaos of trying to walk all together. That's what I chase.
Seville helps because it's a warm city in every sense — the golden light, the orange trees, the tilework, the gentle pace of the old centre. It's a place where kids have room to run and adults loosen up, and it shows on the faces.
Whether two of you come or eight, my job is to make the session feel like a stroll, not an exam. You stay together; I take care of catching it.
Where and how the stroll goes
For families I like to start in places with space and little traffic: the Plaza de España, where kids can run across the semicircle and cross the bridges, or the Guadalquivir bank by the Triana bridge, open and bright. There's air, no crowding, and the photos breathe.
Then we slip into the orange-tree lanes of the Barrio Santa Cruz for something more intimate and textured, or add the modern lines of Las Setas if you fancy contrast. Everything is a few minutes apart on foot, so the stroll is easy even with a pushchair.
I don't direct children like adults. We play, I give them small missions, and I shoot while real life happens. For the posed portraits I pick a couple of short moments; the rest is movement, play and genuine gestures.
When, how long and what you get
With kids, the hour matters as much as the place. Sunrise and the last hour before sunset give the best light and, on top of that, the little ones are in a better mood and there are fewer people. In summer sunrise is the sensible choice, because midday in Seville is exhausting heat.
The family session lasts between one hour and an hour and a half — just enough that the children don't tire out. You receive a digital gallery of edited high-resolution photos, delivered in five to ten days, ready to print or share with the grandparents.
The price starts from 180 € and includes one or two spots in the centre on foot. If you're a large family, want to add grandparents or a third location, we adjust that at booking.
