Three generations, one afternoon in Seville
Seville is a city of family and roots, and that makes it perfect for bringing grandparents, parents and children together in front of the camera. Among the tiles of Plaza de España, the shade of María Luisa park and the orange-tree lanes of Santa Cruz, a multi-generation photo gains that weight of history the city carries in every stone.
Gathering the whole family is hard: they live in different places, rarely overlap, and grandparents won't be here forever. That's why a session like this isn't an indulgence, it's a memory insurance.
My job is to make that time easy and enjoyable for everyone, from the oldest to the youngest, and to come away with images the family will want on the wall for years.
Where and how we do it
María Luisa park is the best option for large groups: plenty of shade, benches, flat paths and no stairs, comfortable for grandparents and safe for children. Next to it, Plaza de España provides the monumental tiled backdrop for the "formal" portrait of the whole family.
If the family moves well, we add an orange-tree lane in Santa Cruz or a stretch of the Guadalquivir bank by Triana at sunset. I combine the group portraits with spontaneous moments: grandparents with grandchildren, siblings together, the couples, the details of interlaced hands.
I direct clearly but without overwhelming anyone: I set the group up quickly so no one tires, then let naturalness emerge. I adapt the pace to the oldest person or the youngest child, never the other way around.
Season, time and what you receive
Spring and autumn are ideal for a multi-generation gathering in Seville: comfortable temperature for elders and children. In summer the Andalusian heat is demanding, especially for grandparents, so we shoot at sunrise or sunset, always with shade, seating and water nearby; midday is ruled out.
A session lasts around an hour and a half, enough margin to arrange the group calmly and leave time for the spontaneous moments without anyone tiring. The golden hour gives the most flattering light for all ages.
You receive a digital gallery of edited high-resolution photos, ready to share or print, delivered within five to ten days. From 180€; if you'd like to extend it with more time, printed copies for the grandparents or a second location, we tailor that with you at booking.
