Seville as a film set
Seville is built for the cinematic image: the monumental half-circle of the Plaza de España with its bridges and tiles, the Mudéjar courtyards of the Real Alcázar, the orange-tree lanes of Santa Cruz and the Giralda's silhouette cut against the sunset. It isn't a borrowed set — it's a city that already breathes drama, colour and golden light.
A conceptual shoot doesn't document a trip: it builds a story. Together we decide on a character, a mood and a palette, then use the city's real locations as if they were a script. The result feels closer to a film still than to a tourist portrait.
Here the place works in your favour. The Andalusian architecture lends symmetry, depth and texture, and the warm southern light turns any wall or arch into a scene with intent.
How we build the scene
We start before the camera: a conversation about the idea, visual references, wardrobe and the tone you're after — epic, melancholic, surreal or intimate. From that comes a small shot script and a location map matched to the day's light.
We work the locations for their character: the Plaza de España for grandeur and symmetry, the Alcázar courtyards for Mudéjar depth, the orange-tree shadows of Santa Cruz for intimacy and the Metropol Parasol for a more contemporary geometry. I treat composition, colour and the blocking of each frame like a film shoot.
Editing is the final step: cinematic colour grading, contrast and atmosphere tuned so the series holds together like a movie. It's not a filter — it's a colour direction built for your concept.
Logistics, timing and price
Seville's historic centre is walkable, so chaining the Plaza de España, the Alcázar and Santa Cruz in a single session is realistic. In summer we work at sunrise or sunset to dodge the extreme heat and catch the golden light; spring and autumn give the best skies. Some locations like the Alcázar need a ticket and a time slot, which we coordinate at booking.
A conceptual shoot takes more preparation than a standard portrait: pre-production of the idea, several locations and a careful colour edit. That's why the format and duration are scaled to the complexity of the concept.
Pricing is per project, set after we discuss your idea, the number of scenes and the level of post-production. You receive a high-resolution digital gallery with the agreed cinematic grade within five to ten days.

"Creative project with coloured smoke for my artist portfolio. Very good execution. Cleaning up afterwards took a while, but the photographer warned us beforehand."
