Madrid has no sea, but it has water
Let's be honest: Madrid is Spain's inland capital, so there's no sandy beach or waves here. But the summer spirit of a "beach" session — water, light, skin, freedom — we can absolutely achieve, reinterpreted the Madrid way.
There are two paths. The first is urban water: Madrid Río, the great riverside park along the Manzanares with its artificial beaches and water features, the city's summer pools and the monumental fountains. The second is the studio with warm light and a clean backdrop, where we recreate that luminous summer aesthetic with full control.
If what you really want is sand and sea, we'll be straight with you and say so — but if you want the cool, summery atmosphere without leaving Madrid, we build it with a character of its own.
Where and how we get the water mood
Madrid Río is the heart of this session: the park that reclaimed the banks of the Manzanares has artificial beaches with water jets, bridges, green areas and lots of open light. In summer it's where the city cools off, giving a carefree, luminous mood, perfect for summery portraits.
We add the great monumental fountains — Cibeles, Neptuno — for a more urban, elegant touch of water, and, in season, the municipal summer pools for that classic swimsuit, towel and sun aesthetic. Each option has its character: cool and park-like, or iconic and city-like.
When the weather or season won't cooperate, we move the session to the studio: warm light, a clean backdrop in sand or blue tones, fabrics that suggest a breeze and simple direction. We get the summer feeling with full control, without depending on the sky.
When, how long and what you receive
This session lives in summer, June to September, when Madrid Río and the pools are at their best. We shoot early morning or at the golden hour of sunset, dodging the strong midday heat. Out of season, the studio keeps the summery mood all year round.
The session runs an hour and a half to two hours, with time for a change of swimwear or look. If you bring children, the water at Madrid Río is a perfect ally: they play, get wet and the photos come out full of life.
You receive a digital gallery of edited high-resolution photos, delivered in five to ten days, ready to share or print. The session starts from 150€; studio, a second water location or a sunset stretch available, all settled at booking.
