Beach photoshoot — Madrid

Honestly: Madrid has no sea or natural sand, so it isn't a real beach. But we do achieve the water-and-summer mood. Madrid Río has artificial beaches with water jets and green areas, there are summer pools and monumental fountains, and the studio recreates the luminous summer aesthetic with controlled light. If what you need is real sand and waves, we'll say so plainly and point you to the coast; if you want the cool spirit without leaving the city, we nail it.

For outdoor water, summer from June to September, when Madrid Río and the summer pools are open and the aesthetic fits. We shoot early or at sunset because the Madrid midday in summer is very hot. Outside those months, the studio works all year: there we set the light and mood ourselves, so it doesn't matter if it's cold or raining outside.

It's possible, but with caveats. Municipal pools have their own rules on photography, mainly to protect other bathers' privacy, so it's best to go at quiet times and keep the shots focused on you. We check this while planning and, if there are restrictions, we turn to Madrid Río, a monumental fountain or the studio, where we have full freedom. I always propose the alternative that best keeps the aesthetic you're after.

It's one of the best options for families in summer. The water at Madrid Río is a magnet for children: they run through the jets, get wet, laugh, and I capture that real joy without asking them to pose. Bring a change of clothes, a towel and something to drink. We plan for a cool hour, let them play and, in between, take a few more crafted family portraits. You get the liveliest, most summery photos of the year.
