Madrid is ideal for this: the historic centre is compact and walkable, and in a single stroll you chain the gravity of the monumental squares, the pulse of Gran Vía and the sunset postcard at the Templo de Debod. A capital-scale city that lends weight to every stop.
I set the pace and route to make the most of the best light, tell you what you're looking at and capture the journey along the way. You only have to walk and enjoy.
The route and its stops
The classic route starts at the Puerta del Sol, the country's kilometre zero, and the Plaza Mayor, with its arcades and noble stone. From there we head up Gran Vía, Madrid's grand avenue, with its art deco façades and the iconic Metrópolis building crowning the bend.
We continue towards the Plaza de España and finish at the Templo de Debod right at golden hour, when the sky opens into oranges over the pond — the perfect close to the tour. If you fancy another register, we detour through Malasaña and Chueca, with their murals and neighbourhood style.
We adapt the route to your interest and your legs: more historic, more urban or more park-focused. At each stop I take crafted portraits and, between points, capture the walk naturally, without you having to pose the whole time.
When, how long and what you receive
The best moment is the afternoon that ends at golden hour, to close the tour with the finest light at the Templo de Debod; early morning is lovely too, with the squares empty. Spring, autumn and clear winter days are the most pleasant for walking; in summer we head out early or at sunset to dodge the heat.
The photo tour runs two to three hours, depending on the pace and how many stops you want. We take it slowly, with time to stop for a drink or sit for a moment.
You receive a digital gallery of edited high-resolution photos telling the whole route, delivered in five to ten days. The photo city tour starts from 150€; extendable with more hours, more areas or a night stretch with the Gran Vía lights.
