Few big cities have a real beach a step from the centre, and Barcelona is one of them. A beach session here doesn't require leaving the city: in fifteen minutes you go from stone streets to sand, with open sky, turquoise water and a light only the sea gives.
It's the perfect setting for something bright and relaxed — barefoot, hair in the wind, without the stiffness of an urban posed shoot. The beach takes the tension away: people loosen up at once, children run and play and the photos come out fresh and natural, full of movement and light.
It works for couples, families with little ones, friends or individual portraits. No need to know how to pose — the sea sets the mood and I capture how you enjoy it.
Which beach we choose and how the session runs
Not all Barcelona beaches are the same. Barceloneta is the most central and iconic, with the promenade and skyline behind, but also the busiest. So for clean photos I usually prefer to move a little further: Bogatell and Nova Icària have wider sand, fewer people and palm trees that bring structure and shade. We choose according to the mood you want.
We shoot at the start or end of the day, when the light is golden and soft and the beach is quiet. Sunrise is almost magical: calm water, freshly raked sand and barely anyone around. Sunset gives warm tones and beautiful silhouettes against the sky.
During the session I set you walking along the shore, splashing water, sitting in the sand or just looking at the sea, instead of rigid poses. With children we keep it in play mode. I show you the camera along the way so you see how well it's turning out.
When, what's included and price
The beach season in Barcelona is long: from late spring to early autumn the sand shows its best, though under a clear sky we can also shoot in winter for something more sober and atmospheric. The best time of day is always sunrise or the golden hour at sunset, for the soft light and the calm beach.
The standard session lasts around an hour on one beach and includes the prior coordination to choose the spot and time, simple direction during the shoot and a gallery of edited high-resolution photos, with those warm, bright Mediterranean tones.
The price starts from €150 and the photos are delivered within 5 to 10 days, ready to share and print. If you'd like more time, a second location by the promenade or a sunrise session with a boat, we extend it to your measure at booking.
