Madrid is a capital on a museum scale: wide boulevards, stately façades, monumental squares and, at dusk, a river of lights. It's not just any backdrop — it's a city that lends weight to every portrait and tells, on its own, that you were here.

It works for couples, families, friends or a solo trip. You stroll and enjoy; I capture the journey as it happens, with the city behind you and without it looking staged.

A photo walk through the capital

We design a route at your pace. Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol set the city's historic heart; Gran Vía brings the pulse of the great avenue with its art deco façades; and the Templo de Debod, at sunset, gives Madrid's loveliest postcard, the sky opening over the water.

If you want greenery and calm, the Parque del Retiro with its pond and the Palacio de Cristal is ideal for families and relaxed walks. For something with more character, the murals and stylish streets of Malasaña and Chueca add an urban, youthful touch.

We walk, chat and I shoot without interrupting: you looking at a shop window, laughing at a crossing, stopping for a coffee. In between we take a few more crafted portraits, but the thread is the real walk, not the pose.

When, how long and what you receive

The best light is early morning, with the squares empty, and the golden hour at sunset. In summer the midday heat bites, so we shoot early or late afternoon; spring, autumn and clear winter days are comfortable at almost any hour.

The session runs one to two hours and we cover one or two areas depending on your pace. It's flexible: we stop when you want, change plans if something charms you along the way.

You receive a digital gallery of edited high-resolution photos, delivered in five to ten days, ready to share or print. The holiday session starts from €150; extendable with more time, more locations or a second night stretch with the city lights.

We're a family with small kids. Does it work the same?
Yes, and it's actually one of my favourite kinds of booking. With kids the trick is not to force it: we pick the Retiro or a square with room to run, plan for a time when they're not tired or hungry, and I let them play while I capture the real moments. You get fewer poses and more life — and those are the photos you'll truly want in a few years. I adapt the pace entirely to them.
We don't know how to pose and feel awkward. What do we do?
Nothing, literally. The session is built like a walk: we stroll, chat, look at shop windows, stop for a coffee, and I shoot along the way. When I want a more crafted portrait I give you very simple, concrete cues — look over there, walk towards me, lean into him. No magazine poses. Most people relax in the first ten minutes and then forget the camera is there.
We only have one free day. How much can we see and photograph?
Madrid's centre is compact and walkable, so in a session of a couple of hours we comfortably chain two areas — for example Plaza Mayor and Gran Vía, or the Retiro and the Templo de Debod at sunset. I suggest a logical route that makes the most of the light and saves you travel, so the session doubles as a little tour of the city's loveliest spots.
When do we get the photos? We fly home soon.
The full edited gallery arrives in five to ten days, so you'll have it shortly after getting home, perfect for reliving the trip and sharing. If you leave very soon and want one or two retouched images to show or post right away, I send a couple of previews within a day or two. All digital, high resolution and ready to print.
