I have no idea how to pose — is that a problem?

Not at all — it's completely normal. I direct you step by step with simple, physical cues: where to put your hands, which way to turn your face, when to look at the sea and when at the camera. We start in a quiet corner of Santa Cruz so you shed the self-consciousness before we move to more open spots. Most people relax within the first ten minutes.

How many outfit changes can I bring?

In a standard session one or two looks work well — a dressier outfit and a more casual one, say. Since we walk between Santa Cruz, the Explanada and the port, we can fit a quick change in a café or doorway. If you want three or more, it's worth booking extra time so we're not rushed; we sort that out when planning.

Does going up to Castillo de Santa Bárbara complicate the session?

Nothing complicated. There's a lift that goes up from the Postiguet area almost to the top, so there's no climb. The castle gives you the whole bay as a backdrop, ideal for one or two strong frames; then we come down and carry on in the city. If you'd rather not go up, there are great sea-level views with no effort.

Do you retouch skin, and how long do the photos take?

Each selected photo is hand-edited: colour, light and natural skin retouching that cleans up the incidental — a blemish, a shine — without changing your face or plasticising it. If you need something specific, tell me and we'll talk it through. You get the full high-resolution gallery in five to ten days, ready to print or post.

Where we shoot and how the session runs

Barrio Santa Cruz is my favourite place to begin: blue and pink houses, flowerpots, narrow stairs and shaded corners that yield warm, close portraits. From there we drop down to the Explanada de España, with its rippling marble mosaic and palms, perfect for full-length frames and a more elegant feel.

If you want horizon, Castillo de Santa Bárbara puts the whole bay behind you, while the port and marina bring reflections, masts and afternoon light on the water. Postiguet beach comes into play for something barefoot and bright at the end of the day.

The session lasts between one hour and ninety minutes, unhurried. We start gently so you loosen up, I guide you with simple cues — where to look, how to shift your weight, when to breathe — and we move through light and backdrops as we walk. You don't need to know how to pose; that's my job.

Season, timing and delivery

Alicante is warm almost all year, so nearly any month works. The most beautiful light arrives at golden hour, just before sunset, and in high summer sunrise gives the same softness with the city empty. Late spring and early autumn offer the best balance of clear sky and pleasant temperature.

A portrait session covers one or two locations depending on our pace. You receive a digital gallery of hand-edited high-resolution photos, ready to print or share, within five to ten days.

Individual portraits start from €150. If you want to extend with more time, more outfit changes or a second part of the city, we adjust it together at booking, with no surprises.
