A good portfolio isn't a collection of pretty pictures: it's proof of versatility. It has to show you can switch register — clean and commercial, editorial and conceptual, beauty in close-up — and that the camera wants you from several angles. That's what a casting director looks for in thirty seconds.
We work with you so each image serves the goal: getting signed, refreshing the book or stepping up to a more editorial profile. We don't shoot for the sake of it — every look answers an intention.
How we plan the session and where we shoot
We start by defining the book's goal and, from there, design the looks: how many changes, which registers — commercial, editorial, beauty, full body — and which backdrops tell each one. If you work with an agency, we start from their requirements so the material drops straight into your card.
The studio is the base of any book: neutral backdrop, controlled light and the essentials every agency asks for — the clean digital polaroid, the headshot to camera, the full body, the profile. It's the technical part that shows your features with no tricks.
Then we head into Madrid for the editorial block: the street feel of Malasaña's lanes and its painted walls, the architecture and signage of Gran Vía, the elegance of the Salamanca-district façades, the clean corners of the Retiro or the Plaza de España area. The city gives texture, character and the variety of settings that separates an ordinary book from one with personality.
Team, usage rights and price
For a serious book the team matters. We can add a stylist to source and combine the wardrobe and a hair-and-makeup artist to prep each look — from the natural beauty agencies prefer to a more editorial finish. The clearer the goal, the better we fine-tune who's needed on set.
You receive a high-resolution gallery delivered in three to seven days, with a selection retouched to an editorial standard — skin respected, no plastic look — and the unretouched digital polaroids agencies require. We also prepare cropped versions for the physical book and for digital profiles.
Pricing is per project, based on the number of looks, the duration and the team we decide to add. The images are yours for book, agency, casting and social use; if a brand wants to license them for a campaign, we arrange that separately. I send a fixed quote before booking.
