Model portfolio — Barcelona

Not at all, it's normal and it's exactly my job. Most models starting out don't yet know how to place the body, where to look or how to shift expression, and I direct you throughout: I cue the pose, the angle of the face, the gesture of the hands and the rhythm. We check photos as we go so you learn what works for you. By the end of the session almost everyone moves with far more ease than at the start.

They're clean, no-frills photos — natural light, fitted simple clothing, no heavy make-up, front, profile and full body — that agencies use to see your real look without filters. They're essential: many agencies ask for them before any editorial. I include them in the book alongside the more crafted images, because the two complement each other: digitals say who you are, editorials say what you can do.

It depends on the package, but a solid book usually includes three to five looks across two or three locations, plus the digitals. The idea is to show range without it looking like the same backdrop repeated: that's why we use Barcelona's different textures in one day. If you want something more ambitious — a strong editorial with styling and make-up — we extend time and team. We tune it to the agencies or castings you're aiming for.

Yes, that's exactly what they're for. You get a personal and promotional licence: you can send them to any agency, put yourself forward for castings, build your setcard and use them on your professional profile and social with no limit. The only thing excluded by default is commercial use by a brand — if that comes up, we define it separately. It's your book, your career: the images are there to open doors.
