Why Mallorca for a family photoshoot

Mallorca packs everything a family session needs into short distances: calm-water coves with soft sand for little ones, shaded pine groves for the hottest hours, and stone villages like Valldemossa or Deià with traffic-free streets where kids can run freely.

For families with babies or grandparents, that proximity matters: no transfer takes more than 30-40 minutes, so the day bends to the children's rhythm instead of the other way around. The warm Mediterranean light from May to October lets us shoot at sunrise or in the last hour of the afternoon, when the sun is gentle and skin tones come out natural.

Best family photo locations in Mallorca

Es Trenc and Cala Mondragó: fine sand and shallow water, ideal for small children. Best early (8:00-10:00) before the summer crowds arrive.

Valldemossa and Deià: stone alleys, bougainvillea and viewpoints. Perfect for families who prefer a village mood over the beach, with plenty of shade for midday sessions.

Tramuntana fincas and olive groves: open fields, dry-stone walls and century-old olive trees. A timeless backdrop that works as well with a newborn in arms as with teenagers.

Timing, duration and pricing of a family session

A family session runs 1-1.5 hours, just enough before small children tire out. We recommend the sunset golden hour (20:00-21:00 in summer) or early morning; we avoid midday for its harsh light and heat.

From €180 for a 1-hour session with an edited digital gallery delivered in 5-10 days. We bring water, simple games and plenty of patience: the goal is for kids to play while we capture the real moments, not forced poses.
