An artistic maternity session here isn't one more studio portrait — it's a piece made for the wall.
The artistic approach means caring for form over pose: falling fabrics, backlight that draws the belly, long shadows and quiet. We work slowly, with little direction and a lot of watching, so the images carry calm and weight rather than posing.
You don't need to know how to pose. My job is to read your body and the light, and guide you gesture by gesture until the picture appears on its own.
Where we shoot in Valencia
The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is our headline stage for artistic maternity: Calatrava's white concrete mirrored in the water sheets, the curving ramps and reflective surfaces create clean, graphic backdrops where the body leads and everything else falls quiet. It works especially well at dawn, before the crowds.
For a warmer, more organic register we move to the Turia riverbed, now a green garden that runs through the city: pines, orange trees and light filtered through the leaves, ideal for fabric in the wind and bare feet on grass. And for something more intimate, of flesh and stone, the old town and the arcades by the Plaza de la Virgen offer textured walls and soft shade.
If you want the sea, the Malvarrosa beach at sunrise gives golden sand, calm water and a clean horizon for backlit silhouettes. We usually combine two nearby locations in a single session for variety without rushing.
When, how long and what you receive
The best window is between weeks 28 and 34, when the bump already tells its story but you still move comfortably. Valencia is mild almost year-round; spring and autumn are ideal, and in summer we shoot at sunrise to dodge the heat and the crowds. The session lasts one hour to an hour and a half.
You receive a digital gallery of carefully edited high-resolution photos, ready to share or print, delivered within five to ten days. The artistic edit cares for grain, black-and-white and light so each image holds up large on the wall.
The artistic maternity session starts from €190. If you'd like to add extra wardrobe, a second location, a couple portrait or fine-art prints, we tailor that with you at booking, with no surprises.
