Which week of pregnancy is best for the session?

Between weeks 28 and 34 is usually the sweet spot: the bump is round and photogenic and you still move easily to climb the castle or walk the beach. For a multiple pregnancy we usually bring it forward, towards weeks 26-30. We adjust it to how you're feeling.

I don't know how to pose and I feel shy. How do we manage?

That's the most normal thing in the world and you don't need to worry about a thing. I direct you the whole time with simple cues — turn your shoulder, lower your chin, breathe deeply — and we start with comfortable gestures until you relax. Most of my clients arrive nervous and are laughing within ten minutes. You just let yourself be guided.

Do you provide the fabrics and dresses or do I bring my own?

I keep a small set of airy fabrics and a couple of flowing neutral dresses that work beautifully against the backlight at Postiguet. Even so, the loveliest thing is to mix them with something of yours — a dress you adore, your partner's shirt. Before the session we talk through the palette so everything matches Alicante's light and setting.

Can we do tasteful artistic nude photos?

Yes, and it's one of the most beautiful options in artistic maternity. We always work with backlight, fabrics and play of shadow so the result is elegant and suggestive, never explicit. We look for sheltered spots — a quiet cove at sunrise, a studio with natural light — and you set how far you feel comfortable. Your privacy comes first.

We work calmly and without rush, so you feel beautiful and looked after, and so that years from now these photos still move you as they did on the first day.

Where we shoot and how the session runs

Postiguet beach, right in the centre, gives golden sand and the blue of the sea as a clean canvas for backlight. For something more painterly we climb to Santa Bárbara castle, the bay at our feet and warm stone at sunset, or wander the Santa Cruz quarter of whitewashed houses and flowers when we want intimacy.

We start by choosing two or three fabrics and a couple of simple looks — a flowing dress, bare skin, clean lines. I guide you gesture by gesture: where to place your hands, how to breathe, where to look. You don't need to know how to pose, that's my job.

The session lasts around an hour and a half, never rushed. If your partner comes along, we leave a block for portraits together, because that closeness is part of the story too.

When to come and what you receive

The best window is usually between weeks 28 and 34, when the bump is nicely round and you still move comfortably. Alicante has good weather almost all year; the most flattering light falls in the golden hour just before sunset, and in spring and early autumn the beach is calm.

The session lasts around ninety minutes. You receive a digital gallery of carefully edited high-resolution photos, delivered within five to ten days, ready to print or share.
