Just the two of you, in Valencia

Valencia is one of the best cities in Spain to elope: it has the golden-stone old town for intimacy, the futuristic architecture of the Ciudad de las Artes for the spectacular, and the El Saler beach to the south to finish barefoot facing the sea. All within minutes, with no long drives and none of the machinery of a traditional wedding.

Eloping means promising each other what matters with no guest list, no protocol, no stress. My role is to be with you that day as a discreet witness: close when you look at each other, stepping away when you need privacy, and leading you through the corners where the light works its magic.

No rush, no audience. Just your vow, the landscape and the camera that keeps it forever.

The route of your elopement

We design the day around you. A typical elopement begins at sunrise on the El Saler or Malvarrosa beach, with the sea calm, the sand empty and the first golden light for vows on your own. The sound of the waves and the clean horizon make that moment feel enormous even though it's just the two of you.

Then we move to the historic centre: the stone streets by the Plaza de la Virgen, the arcades and the hidden courtyards of the Carmen district give a romantic, timeless air, perfect for walking hand in hand with no one watching. The Mercado Central and its surroundings add colour and life if you want them.

To close with drama, the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias at sunset: Calatrava's white concrete mirrored in the water and the curving forms make almost cinematic images. Everything is so close that we can chain sea, old town and architecture in a single day without strain.

When, how it's organised and budget

Valencia is mild almost year-round, so you can elope in nearly any season; spring and autumn are the most comfortable, and in summer we work at sunrise and sunset to dodge the heat. The golden light of first and last hour is the magic window for an elopement, with the locations calm and nearly empty.

An elopement can range from a couple-of-hours session at one location to a full day chaining sea, city and architecture, with time for outfit changes and a toast. I help you plan the route, the light timings and, if you need it, put you in touch with an officiant, a bouquet or a small catering.

Elopements are worked by project, made to measure, from around €900 depending on the hours, the locations and extras like video or drone. You receive a digital gallery of edited high-resolution photos within five to ten days. After a first conversation I prepare a clear, fixed proposal.

FAQ

Do you help us organise the elopement, not just photograph it?
Yes. Although my main job is photographic, I know Valencia well and help you build the day: which locations fit your style, in what order to visit them by the light, how much time to leave between each and where to change clothes. If you need an officiant for a symbolic ceremony, a bouquet, hair and makeup or a small toast, I can recommend trusted professionals. You decide the level of help; I make sure the route flows.
Is it legal to get married on an elopement in Valencia?
A civil marriage with full legal effect in Spain requires prior paperwork and residency, and it's usually easier to formalise it in your own country. That's why most elopements in Valencia are symbolic ceremonies: personal vows, an officiant or a loved one who marries you with no paperwork, all the emotion and none of the bureaucracy. If you want the legal part done here too, I'll tell you well in advance what it involves. The most common path is to make it legal at home and celebrate the elopement here.
How many locations can we visit in a day?
Valencia is very compact, so a full day comfortably fits two or three quite different locations — for instance sunrise on the El Saler beach, the historic centre mid-morning and the Ciudad de las Artes at sunset. The key isn't to pile up spots but to follow the light: we shoot each location at its best hour and leave room for the drives and a calm coffee in between. If you prefer something more intimate, a single location at golden light also works beautifully.
What if we want to invite a few people?
Of course. Many elopements include a handful of guests — parents, siblings, the closest friends — and remain intimate and protocol-free. With a small group we choose locations that allow a little audience without losing intimacy, like a terrace with views or a quiet stretch of beach, and I set aside a moment alone with the two of you for the portraits. The difference from a wedding is scale and freedom: you still decide everything your way.
