Artistic maternity in Seville

Seville wraps the waiting in a warm, golden light that no other Spanish city gives quite the same way: the long shadows of the patios, the tilework of the Plaza de España, the air scented with orange blossom in spring. For a maternity session that isn't decor — it's atmosphere, a backdrop that embraces the body rather than competing with it.

We aim for a serene, sculptural image: the silhouette traced beneath the mudéjar arches, a flowing dress that moves with the breeze, hands resting on the bump with the ease of someone already expecting. Nothing forced, no impossible poses for a pregnant body — just presence, calm and an Andalusian backdrop that tells where this story began.

Where and how we photograph

The Plaza de España, with its semicircle of arches and tiled bridges, gives wide, architectural frames that hold the figure with elegance. The Santa Cruz quarter offers narrow whitewashed lanes, iron grilles and orange trees for something more intimate and storybook. And by the Guadalquivir, on the Triana bank or under the bridge, the light opens up and the water returns a soft reflection, perfect for golden hour.

We work unhurried, at your pace. If you tire, we stop; if you want to change between an ethereal white and an earthy tone that matches the stone, we do. I guide you through every pose so the body looks flattering and comfortable, and I leave room for the spontaneous gestures — a glance down at the bump, a smile from your partner — which later turn out to be the most cherished photos.

If your partner or an older child wants to join some frames, they fit in naturally: one more hand on the bump, an embrace, the family that is already growing.

When to come, duration and delivery

The best window in pregnancy to photograph is between weeks 28 and 34, when the bump is clearly rounded yet you still move comfortably. In Seville the heat rules: in spring and autumn almost any hour works, but in summer we shoot only at sunrise or sunset, when the stone releases its heat and the light turns to honey.

A session lasts between one hour and an hour and a half — plenty of time for one or two locations and a dress change without rushing. You receive a digital gallery of carefully edited high-resolution photos, delivered in five to ten days, ready to print or share.
