Granada lends motherhood a backdrop no other Spanish city repeats: the Alhambra's reddish walls glowing in the sunset, the white lanes of the Albaicín tumbling down the hillside and, behind it all, the snow line of the Sierra Nevada. It is serene and monumental at once, ideal for an artistic session that celebrates the growing body.

An artistic maternity session isn't about forced poses. It's about light, silhouette and calm. We chase the hour when golden light wraps the belly, work with fabrics that move on the air, and let the Granada landscape do the rest: warm stone, gardens and mountain as a natural frame.

Where and how we shoot

The Mirador de San Nicolás gives the postcard: you in profile with the Alhambra and the sierra behind, made for silhouettes at sunset. For something more intimate, the gardens of an Albaicín carmen — with their myrtle, fountains and tucked-away views — offer privacy and greenery. If you prefer geometry and shadow, the patios and arches near the monumental complex work beautifully.

The session runs an hour to an hour and a half, at a gentle pace: we stop whenever you want, keep you hydrated and never push hard climbs up the hill. I guide every gesture — hands, gaze, how to shift your weight — so the pregnancy looks strong and beautiful without strain. Bring fabrics, a flowing dress or your own comfortable clothes; one outfit change adds variety to the gallery.

Season, light and delivery

The best window is between weeks 28 and 34, when the belly is roundly there and you still move comfortably. Spring and autumn give the kindest light; in winter the sierra is snow-capped and appears as a white backdrop behind the walls, a unique image only Granada offers. In summer we shoot at sunrise or in the last hour of the day to dodge the heat.

The golden hour just before sunset is the magic window: the Alhambra stone turns amber and the light falls low and flattering.
