Madrid on paper, to hang on the wall

A screen shows a photo; good paper turns it into an object. The fine-art print gives an image texture, weight and permanence — something a file on your phone will never have. It's the difference between looking at a photo and living with it at home.

Madrid offers images that deserve a wall: the golden sunset at the Templo de Debod, the reflections of the Retiro pond before the Palacio de Cristal, the art-deco geometry of Gran Vía, the high, clean light that defines the capital. Urban landscape that doesn't tire over the years.

A fine-art print of Madrid is both a memory and a piece of décor — a slice of the city that stays with you.

Paper, editions and the printing process

I print with archival pigment inks on fine-art cotton papers — baryta, matte or heavy satin — that last decades without losing colour. Each paper changes the character of the image: matte gives a painterly texture, baryta a deep black and a subtle sheen. We choose the one that best tells each photo.

Each image is prepared individually: colour and tone adjusted for the specific paper, a test print and a review before the final copy. The result is faithful to what you saw in the Madrid light, not a generic high-street print.

Prints can be open or in a limited edition, numbered and signed, with a certificate of authenticity. The limited edition makes the print a collector's piece: the fewer that exist, the more value the one on your wall holds.

Sizes, delivery and price

We offer everything from desk sizes to large formats for a feature wall. I advise you based on the space: a large piece needs distance to be appreciated, a small series works as a set. With or without a mat, ready to frame or already mounted — whatever you need for your home.

Each print is made to order and checked by hand before shipping, packed with rigid protection so it arrives flawless. Production and delivery is five to ten days, depending on size and finish.

The price starts from a figure per print that depends on size and paper; limited editions, numbered and signed, have their own price per edition. Tell me which image and which wall you have in mind and I'll send concrete options.

FAQ

What's the difference between a fine-art print and a normal one?
The difference is in materials and process. A fine-art print uses archival pigment inks — not dye inks that fade — on heavy, acid-free cotton paper that holds colour for decades. Each image is calibrated and tested for that specific paper before the final is printed. A high-street print uses standard paper and inks meant to last a short time and is made in bulk. The fine-art print is a piece to hang and keep; the other is a throwaway memento.
Can I print my own Madrid photos or only yours?
Both. You can choose an image from my Madrid collection — Debod, the Retiro, Gran Vía — ready to print on the paper and size you prefer. Or, if you've done a session with me, we turn your own favourite photo into a fine-art print. For good-quality files from elsewhere, I review them first: I tell you honestly how large the image can go without losing definition before printing anything.
What does limited edition mean and why does it matter?
A limited edition means that a fixed number of copies of that image exists — say, ten — each numbered (1/10, 2/10…), signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Once the edition sells out, no more are printed at that size. That gives it exclusivity and value: you own a piece that isn't infinite. Open prints, with no limit, are cheaper and perfect if you simply want to enjoy the image at home. I explain both options based on what you're after.
How does the print arrive and is it ready to frame?
Each print is checked by hand and packed with rigid protection — a tube or flat box depending on size — so it arrives without marks or creases. You can order it as paper only, ready to take to your trusted framer, or already mounted and framed by us if you'd rather receive it ready to hang. For large sizes I recommend professional mounting so the piece sits taut and perfect. Production and delivery is five to ten days depending on the finish.
