Getting married in Madrid
A wedding in Madrid has a texture of its own: the gravity of the capital, the wide boulevards, the stone façades and, as night falls, the lights of Gran Vía that turn any step out of the car into a film scene. It isn't just a pretty backdrop — it's a city with character that lends history to every photograph.
I work in a documentary style: I tell the day as it unfolds, without interrupting it. The emotion of getting ready, the look at the I do, your mother's embrace, the dance floor full at midnight. And I set aside time for crafted portraits of the two of you, where direction steps in only to place you in the best light.
You live the day. I make sure that years from now you can return to all of it, not just the moments you remember.
The day, step by step
I begin with the preparations — the dress on its hanger, hands trembling over the buttons, the first look in the mirror. The ceremony, whether civil in a small palace or religious in one of the great central churches, I cover from the background, where the real tears are.
Between ceremony and reception we steal forty minutes for portraits. Madrid offers them generously: the Templo de Debod with the sky opening at sunset, the greenery and Palacio de Cristal of the Retiro, the noble stone of Plaza Mayor, or the rooftop of the Círculo de Bellas Artes with the whole city at your feet.
At night the other face of the capital comes in: the neon of Gran Vía, the lit façade of Metrópolis, a wet street reflecting light. I close with the dancing and the party, capturing the energy without invasive flash, true to the room's real atmosphere.
Coverage, season and delivery
Spring and autumn are Madrid's ideal season: long days, clean skies and mild evenings. Summer is very hot — we plan portraits for late in the day — and winter offers a beautiful clear, cold light with fewer people at the locations.
I work by project and tailor coverage to your day: half a day for an intimate wedding, a full day from preparations to party, or several days if there's a pre- and post-wedding. I can add a second photographer, video or drone where permitted.
You receive a full digital gallery of edited high-resolution photos, delivered within a few weeks, with a highlighted preview in the first days so you don't wait to relive it. Quote by project according to hours, locations and extras — no surprises, all settled at booking.
