Is it a lot of climbing on foot up to the castle?

It depends how you want to do it. You can climb on foot up Benacantil hill, a lovely but uphill walk, or take the lift that runs from a tunnel by Postiguet beach and drops you almost at the top effortlessly. If you'd rather save your legs to enjoy the views and portraits, we use the lift. We agree it according to your fitness.

Is the tour only photos, or do you show us the city too?

Both. While we take the photos I tell you about what you're seeing — the story of the Santa Cruz quarter, why the Explanada has that mosaic, what you can see from the castle — and give you tips on where to eat or what to visit afterwards. It's not a formal guided tour with headsets, it's a friendly walk with a camera through a city I know.

How many locations fit in the tour?

In the standard hour we usually cover two or three settings used well — for example Explanada and harbour, the Santa Cruz lanes and a castle viewpoint — without rushing. If you want more, like heading down to Postiguet beach or adding the old town at a calmer pace, we extend the duration. We design the route together beforehand so what truly interests you fits in.

Can we do the tour as a group or with friends?

Yes, the tour works great as a group: couples of friends, a hen or stag party, a family reunion. With several people it's wise to book a bit more time so everyone comes out well in individual and group portraits. The walking route through the centre allows it easily. Tell me how many you are at booking and I adjust duration and price accordingly.

Photo tour of Alicante

Alicante is wonderful to explore on foot: from the harbour and the Explanada de España, with its marble mosaic and palms, you climb the whitewashed lanes of the Santa Cruz quarter up to Santa Bárbara castle, which opens the whole bay. In one walk you chain together sea, old town and high views.

A photo tour is two things in one: a mini-route through the city's best, guided by someone who knows it, and a photo session at each stop. You finish with a travel album and, along the way, you've seen Alicante.

I take you in the order that best uses the light, tell you what you're looking at and photograph you naturally as you walk. No rush and at your own pace.

The route, stop by stop

We usually start at the Explanada de España and the harbour, with palms, boats and the rippling mosaic underfoot. From there we climb to the Santa Cruz quarter, the most photogenic corner: white houses with flowers, steep stairways, coloured doors and pots on every corner.

The finale is Santa Bárbara castle. You can climb on foot up Benacantil hill or take the lift from the beach, and at the top a panorama of the whole bay opens up, perfect for wide shots.

Along the way we stop for portraits and I let the spontaneous photos run: you walking, glancing at a shop window, leaning out at a viewpoint. We adapt the pace to your fitness and to what you most want to see.

When, duration and delivery

The best time is early morning, with the old town still calm and the light clean, or late afternoon towards the golden hour. In summer we avoid the climb to the castle in the heat of the day. Alicante has good weather almost all year, so the tour works in any season.

The tour lasts around an hour, just enough to chain two or three stops without tiring you. You receive a digital gallery of edited high-resolution photos, delivered within five to ten days.
