What's the best time for a beach session?

Without doubt sunrise or the golden hour before sunset. Early on, Postiguet is almost empty, the water is like a mirror and the light is soft and golden. At sunset you get the warmest tones and backlit silhouettes. Midday, with the sun right overhead, gives harsh shadows and squinting, so we avoid it whenever possible.

Can we get wet or go into the water during the session?

Of course, and they're usually the most fun, lively photos. We can play at the shoreline, splash, walk with water at our ankles or go right in if you feel like it. My recommendation is to leave it for the end of the session, so we first get the dry portraits and then you let loose without worrying about getting wet. Bring a towel and a change of clothes for comfort.

Which is better, a central beach or a secluded cove?

It depends on what you're after. Postiguet is central, convenient and has the castle behind, ideal if you're short on time or without a car. The Costa Blanca coves, a bit further out, give turquoise water, rock and far fewer people, perfect for an intimate or couple session. If you tell me which style you prefer and how you get around, I recommend the best option for your session.

What should we bring to the beach session?

Clothes you feel comfortable in that match the tones of sea and sand — light, natural colours look great. If you plan to get wet, bring a change and a towel. Which beaches we choose and how the session goes

Postiguet is the easiest, most central option, with golden sand and the castle as a backdrop. For something wilder and crowd-free, we head to nearby Costa Blanca coves of turquoise water and rock, where it feels almost like a private island. The island of Tabarca, by boat, offers crystalline waters for a full-day session.

We work near the shoreline to make the most of reflections, foam and the backlight of the water. I suggest walking along the sea line, splashing, sitting in the sand, looking at the horizon — simple gestures that give natural images.

If you fancy getting into the water or shooting at sunset with silhouettes, we plan for it. The beach allows a lot of play, and I adapt to how comfortable you feel.

When, duration and delivery

The secret of the beach is the hour. First morning light, with the sand empty and the water calm, and the golden hour before sunset give the warmest, most flattering tones. Summer midday, with the sun overhead, is the worst moment, so we avoid it. The swimming season runs from late spring to early autumn, though the beach looks good all year.

The session lasts around an hour. You receive a digital gallery of edited high-resolution photos, delivered within five to ten days, ready to share or print.

The price is from €150. It works for couples, families, friends or individual sessions; if you'd like a more distant cove, a sunset session with more time or a boat to Tabarca, we adjust it at booking.
