That's the most normal thing in the world and it's completely fine. We don't start by shooting: we walk, we talk about how you met, I give you small things to do — walking hand in hand, whispering something — instead of stiff poses. Within ten minutes the camera vanishes from your mind and the real gestures come out. The couples who resist most at first usually end up with the best photos.

Does going up to the Castillo de Santa Bárbara complicate the session a lot?

Not at all. There's a lift that goes up from beach level at Postiguet straight to the castle, so there's no climbing and no need for special footwear. From the top the view over the bay is unbeatable, especially at sunset. If you'd rather skip the climb entirely, the Explanada, the port and Santa Cruz give plenty for a full session with no steep ground.

It's a milestone anniversary and we want to surprise our partner. Can you help?

Yes, we set this up often. We agree on the time and the exact spot where I'll be waiting with a telephoto lens, dressed like another tourist, to catch your partner's surprised face as the plan unfolds. Then I step out to say hello and we do the relaxed session. You just bring them to the spot; I handle the rest, and the reaction is kept forever.

What if it's windy or the sky is cloudy on the day?

Alicante boasts clear skies, but when a grey or windy day comes we have room to adapt. Soft clouds act like a giant diffuser and give flattering light for portraits, so it's no problem. If it's blowing hard, we shelter in the protected lanes of Santa Cruz rather than the open promenade. And if the forecast is genuinely bad, we reschedule at no cost to another day of your stay.

Where I take you and how the session flows

We usually begin at sunset on the Explanada de España, under the palms and on that famous rippling marble floor, where the golden light bounces softly. From there we drop to the port and the marina, with the sailboats and water reflections, or slip into the Santa Cruz quarter — white-and-blue houses, potted flowers on every corner — perfect for something more intimate.

If you'd like a panorama that takes it all in, we climb up to the Castillo de Santa Bárbara: the whole bay, the Postiguet beach at your feet and the sky shifting colour behind you. We shape the route to your pace and your outfits — no rushing, everything flows.

Across the hour and a half or two hours the session lasts, we blend unhurried portraits with moments in motion: walking hand in hand, a spontaneous toast, looking at each other without me asking. I direct just enough for you to feel at ease, and the rest is all you.

Season, duration, delivery and price

Alicante has fine weather almost all year, but the kindest light comes in late spring and early autumn, when the heat eases and the sunsets stretch out. The golden hour before dusk is the star moment; in high summer we'd rather shoot first thing in the morning, with the Explanada and the port still empty.

The session runs between an hour and a half and two hours — plenty of time for two or three locations without pressure. You receive a digital gallery of edited high-resolution photos, ready to share or print, delivered within five to ten days.

The anniversary shoot starts from €180. If you'd like to extend it with an extra location, an outfit change or a trip out to Isla de Tabarca, we quote that to your measure at booking, with no surprises.
