Maternity photoshoot — Alicante

The sweet spot is usually between weeks 28 and 34. In that range the bump already has a lovely round shape but you still move easily and without too much heaviness. If you're expecting multiples or know your bump grows early, we bring it forward a little. The best is to book ahead and, if needed, fine-tune the exact date based on how you feel in those weeks.

Flowing, long dresses are the kings: they move with the Postiguet breeze and mark the belly's silhouette with elegance. Light fabrics in neutral or soft tones go beautifully with Alicante's golden light. A fitted top with a long skirt also works very well or, if you fancy something more artistic, a sheer fabric. I advise bringing two options; if in doubt, send me photos beforehand and we choose together.

It's very common to feel that way, and my job is exactly the opposite: for you to come out seeing yourself as beautiful as you are. I know the angles and light that flatter a pregnancy silhouette, I guide you step by step so you don't have to think about anything, and we go calmly. There are no uncomfortable poses or exposure you don't want. Most mums end up surprised by how lovely they look, and that's precisely what I'm after.

Of course, and they bring a lot of emotion to the session. Your partner's hands on the belly, a kiss on the forehead, or older siblings resting an ear on the bump to listen to the baby — those are among the most tender images. If children come, we take their shots while they have patience and then carry on with the solo portraits. Let me know at booking who'll take part so I reserve the right time.
