Expecting, on Ibiza

An artistic maternity session isn't about stiff poses or busy backdrops — it's about light, skin and the curve that tells a story. Ibiza offers a setting no studio can match: whitewashed walls, turquoise water and a sun that sculpts shape with clean shadows.

The island has two faces working in your favour. The quiet coves give calm and horizon for serene, timeless images; the white village houses and the golden stone of Dalt Vila bring texture and character. We pick the register that suits you: minimal and luminous, or warm and editorial.

Where and how we shoot

Cala Salada and Cala Comte are our favourites for the water-and-light register: pale sand, pines down to the shore and a sunset that turns skin to gold. For something more graphic we head to Las Salinas, with its salt pools and clean lines, or to the whitewashed lanes of Dalt Vila, where the shadow of an arch is enough to frame a portrait.

The session is calm and moves at your pace. We start with wide figure-and-landscape shots, move to close frames of the bump and hands, and close with backlit portraits of your face. I guide every gesture: you don't need to know how to pose, just let yourself go.

If you come as a couple, we include your partner in the final part; if you want fabric in the wind, a long dress or a barer, more sculptural look, we plan it beforehand so you arrive with everything sorted.

Season, duration and delivery

The best stage of pregnancy to photograph is between weeks 28 and 34, when the bump is clearly round but you still move with ease. On Ibiza the season runs May to October; September is the velvet month — warm light, mild sea and far fewer people than high summer.

We shoot in the golden hour, just before sunset, when the low west-coast sun works its magic. The session lasts one to two hours and includes one location (we can add a second) and posing guidance throughout.

You receive a digital gallery of carefully edited high-resolution photos, ready to share or print, within five to ten days. Rate from 190€; wardrobe changes, a second cove or your partner are agreed at booking.
