Why Mallorca for a baby and newborn session

With a newborn, the last thing you want is to travel far or wait in the sun. That's the big advantage of photographing babies in Mallorca: we do it in your villa or home, in a warm, quiet setting where the baby is comfortable and the family relaxed.

The island offers soft, natural light coming through the windows almost year-round, perfect for delicate portraits without harsh flashes. When we want an exterior, a shaded terrace or a garden at first or last light is enough, away from the midday heat that bothers little ones so much.

How we set up the session and where we shoot

The session is always at your place: your villa, apartment or finca. We find the room with the best window light, keep it nicely warm (newborns lose heat easily) and work at a slow pace, stopping for feeds, changes and comforting whenever needed.

Safety comes above everything: no forced poses or risky setups. Images of a newborn wrapped or asleep come from gentle support and lots of patience, not acrobatics. If the baby is awake and restless, we move to portraits in the parents' arms, which almost always give the tenderest shots.

For slightly older babies who hold their head up or sit, we add a touch of outdoors: a shaded terrace or the home's garden at last light, when the light is golden and the heat has already eased.

When to do it, duration, delivery and price

For newborns, the first 5-20 days are the easiest because they sleep a lot and curl up naturally, but there's no rush: a baby session works at any age. The duration is flexible, between 1.5 and 2 hours, because we work at the baby's pace and not the other way round.

Since it's at home, we don't depend on the season or early starts: any time of year works, though spring and autumn give an especially pleasant light. From €180, with an edited digital gallery delivered in 7-14 days, allowing time for a delicate, natural retouch.
