Beach photoshoot — Seville

Correct: Seville sits inland, by the Guadalquivir river, and has no sea beach. What it does offer is river water with beautiful light, hotel pools and rooftops for a summer mood, and a magnificent Atlantic coast — Cádiz's Costa de la Luz — just over an hour's drive away. I'd rather tell you plainly than promise a city beach that doesn't exist; with that we decide together the best option for the photos you have in mind.

The Costa de la Luz beaches are between one and one and a half hours away by car. Cádiz city and its urban beaches, Conil, or the spectacular Bolonia with its great dune and Atlantic water are the most photogenic options. We frame it as a half-day or full-day session, counting the round trip. If your plan includes a beach day, we can do the photos right there; we organise it to measure at booking.

Yes, and it's a great option for that summery resort feel with the Giralda behind. The hotel's permission is needed, and many grant it if you're guests or by booking the space; some rooftop-bar exteriors are more accessible. I'll advise on which places usually work and help coordinate it for your dates. If you're staying at a hotel with a good pool or terrace, that's often the simplest and prettiest choice.

Sunrise and the last hour before sunset, no debate. In summer Seville's midday sun is aggressive and the light harsh; at sunrise, by contrast, the Guadalquivir banks are empty and cool, and at sunset the river mirrors a golden sky that's pure magic. On the coast it's the same: the low morning or afternoon light gives the prettiest water and textured sand. We plan the hour to get the best of each spot.
